Research

Physical, chemical, and mechanical properties of construction materials, applications of micromechanics, composite materials manufacturing, constitutive modeling, fiber reinforced concrete, fracture mechanics, experimental stress analysis, blended cements, and modeling of durability.  These are divided into two main research themes, infrastructure materials research and mechanics of infrastructure systems

infrastructure materials research deals with cement-based materials composites for construction repair retrofit, durability modeling and blended cements research areas.

The area of mechanics of infrastructure systems is involved with a broad range of applications of experimental stress analysis in the development, modeling and characterization of materials and systems for use in various infrastructure applications.  These areas are categorized each in their own sub-discipline.
